Wrong assumption, madame teacher – here's your lawsuit

apple on teacher's deskA school district in Oregon is facing a huge lawsuit after one of its teachers decided – on her own and without the parents' knowledge – to try and transition a young boy from male to female.

When an eight-year-old boy asked to use the staff bathroom because of a medical condition, an unidentified second-grade teacher in the Woodburn School District wrongly assumed he was transgender. She indoctrinated him with various transgender books and videos.

According to Laurie Higgins of the Illinois Family Institute, the indoctrination presented "the whole kit-and-caboodle of the trans ideology. It took place over three days in a week, with no notification to the parents," she adds.

Fox 12 KPTV in Beaverton reports the boy's parents had no idea what was occurring until their son brought home the book Who Are You? The Kid's Guide to Gender Identity – an illustrated, 40-page "primer" authored by the founder of the Gender Inclusive School Alliance in Berkeley, California.

The boy's parents say their now-anxious and depressed child is on antidepressants and is seeing a counselor. The stressed-out parents, says Higgins, have slapped Woodburn with a significant lawsuit.

"The school is being sued for almost a million dollars – and I hope they lose, because that will send a message to schools that they'd better watch what they're doing," she tells OneNewsNow.

Higgins says as far as she knows, the teacher who instigated this has not been punished – but adds that because taxpayers are paying the teacher's salary, she should be publicly held accountable.
