Planned Parenthood being unneighborly

Planned Parenthood signAn attorney says there's evidence Planned Parenthood may have violated state law for its role in preventing a pro-life group moving into the same building as the abortion-provider.

In 2014, Alpha Pregnancy Clinics in Vacaville, California (northeast of Oakland), signed a lease for office space just across the hall from Planned Parenthood. However, before Alpha could move into its offices, which provided badly needed space for expansion, the property owner broke the lease and refused to let Alpha move in.

Brad Dacus, an attorney and president of Pacific Justice Institute, tells OneNewsNow that emails have surfaced indicating the owner was bullied into cancelling the lease.

"This is an egregious violation of the business relationship between the landlord and the lessee, our client," says the attorney, "and it's also showing very clearly how despicable Planned Parenthood is in trying to eliminate real and true choice for women in crisis."

Dacus' firm filed suit last week against Planned Parenthood, alleging the taxpayer-supported group interfered with Alpha's business and contractual relations, as well as civil rights violations.

Dacus, Brad (PJI)"This brings them in as a player to the unlawful allowance of this termination of this lease for Alpha Pregnancy Clinic," he continues, "and it specifically makes Planned Parenthood vulnerable in court to be held accountable for their actions."

Dacus has already filed suit against the building owner. That case goes to trial this summer.
