A California pro-life pregnancy center has received some good news concerning a lawsuit over its contract to lease office space next to a Planned Parenthood.

Alpha Pregnancy Clinic in Fairfield, California, moved quickly to sign a lease when it learned space was available next to a Planned Parenthood clinic.

But the lease contract fell through and a now a lawsuit has been filed.

Brad Dacus, who heads Pacific Justice Institute, explains why the pro-life center chose that location to open.

“It was important that Alpha be located in close proximity to Planned Parenthood in order to offer pro-life alternatives for women and girls in crisis,” Dacus tells OneNewsNow.

If the abortion giant is really "pro-choice," the attorney adds, "then they need to be willing to allow women to choose, and that includes the Alpha Pregnancy Clinic instead of theirs."

Alpha officials had put money down for the lease and were preparing to move into the facility. But then the property owner reneged on the lease contract, allegedly due to pressure from Planned Parenthood.

"I guess they thought that the Alpha people, being nice Christians, were just going to go their own way and let bygones be bygones," Dacus says of the contract dispute. "But the stakes are way too high.”

So PJI filed a lawsuit for breach of lease.

The good news for Alpha is that a California judge has ruled that the lawsuit can go forward, and Dacus says it will.
