apple on teacher's deskWith many public school teachers referring to themselves as "change agents," a former educator says those "agents" are actually corrupting students' morals and values.

Cultural issues writer Laurie Higgins of the Illinois Family Institute says parents should be able to feel confident that teachers, will not dispute their children's political or moral beliefs. But many teachers obscure what their true agenda is.

"What they really mean is to change other people's children into leftists," Higgins explains. "They want them to adopt leftist moral and political views on particularly race and sexuality. That's what they're trying to change, and they're using curricula to do it."

But instead of doing something themselves, Higgins laments that many parents lean on school board members to resolve such problems.

"What they don't realize is that school boards rubber stamp curricula," she tells One News Now. "They don't pour through the documents, read over all the textbooks, read all the novels, read all the essays the teachers are bringing in from The New York Times. They just rubber stamp the formal curricula."

Higgins adds that the recent riots in major U.S. cities are the result of the Marxist training taking place in public schools.
