Prediction: Sheriffs speaking out bad omen for Dems
An immigration watchdog that is witnessing the border crisis worsen by the day is praising sheriffs across the country for listening to their communities and sounding the alarm.
Infrastructure has traditionally been confined to things like roads and bridges, but as Breitbart reports, the Biden administration has expanded it to include $100 billion toward improving school kitchens so they may "prepare nutritious meals" while reducing greenhouse emissions.
Marie Fischer of Project 21's advisory board believes this very costly plan is focused on the wrong things.
"Do you want kitchens to be all electric, which we already have? Kitchens to be solar-powered? Wind-powered?" she asks. "And they said they're also trying to revive the nutrition plan that Michelle Obama had. There was so much food wasted under that plan."
Considering the current situation, with the country continuing to face a pandemic, Fischer thinks this administration's priorities are out of place.
"We still have so many people out of work. We still have children who aren't even in school. How could you put forth a bill that talks about spending money to improve school kitchens when you've got teachers who don't even want to go back to school?" Fischer poses. "You're not pushing to open schools, so why are you putting money toward the schools when they're not even open?"
Breitbart reports the plan calls for $50 billion in direct grants and for the rest to be leveraged through public bonds.
