Gov. Cuomo praised by mediaThanks to Governor Andrew Cuomo (D), college students in New York may find themselves in a baffling situation when they return to school this fall.

Campus Reform reports that Gov. Cuomo recently mandated that colleges with 100 coronavirus cases or more will have to switch to online classes for two weeks. Conservative activist and We Win America's Joe Connor of New York is already perplexed by the mandate.

"Why a hundred? Why not a thousand? Why not ten? Where does this come from," he wonders. "These politicians talk about following the science. Well, I would love for them to explain the science behind where these numbers come from and what they're actually trying to achieve."

Connor

Binghamton University student Lacey Kestecher told Campus Reform that the new restrictions are unreasonable, given the minimal number of cases among college students. Connor agrees.

"In my view, they're looking to disrupt the education system and, in some way, keep the unemployment at a higher rate," Connor submits.

Earlier this year, Cuomo received bitter criticism for sending elderly COVID-19 patients back to nursing homes, leading to thousands more deaths.
