A bill allowing only females to compete in women's sports based on their biological sex, not their gender identity, is being introduced in the Idaho Legislature.
Breitbart News reports the bill's sponsor, state Representative Barbara Ehardt (R), says this has nothing to do with an anti-LGBT agenda, but it is about protecting female athletes.
"This is the logical step that needs to be taken," comments Steve McConkey, president of 4 WINDS USA. "The good thing about it is we know that President Trump will not try to do what Obama did; he will stand up with these people as they do this."
As lawmakers become increasingly convinced of the inherent physical advantage male transgender athletes have over females, McConkey believes more states will follow in introducing such legislation.
"It's almost as if all the work that people have put in over the years, all of a sudden we're seeing a trend reverse," he observes. "That just shows you one thing -- that you've got to keep at it."
According to CBN News, other states that have introduced similar legislation include New Hampshire, Washington, Georgia, Tennessee, and Missouri.
