Concerns are being raised about teachers who use classroom time to indoctrinate kids about alleged climate change when they have little or no training on the subject.
In an article posted on TheHechingerReport.org, Glenn Branch of the National Center for Science Education says teachers do not feel they have the knowledge to teach climate change effectively. Climate issues expert Dr. Bonner Cohen of The National Center for Public Policy Research says if that is the case, then that is a real problem.
"So we need to make sure that what is taught is a relatively balanced approach to scientific issues that are by nature complicated rather than sheer indoctrination," Cohen tells OneNewsNow.
He further contends that many teachers who themselves have been indoctrinated with this leftist ideology are under tremendous pressure from outside sources to teach it as well.
"They are under an enormous amount of pressure through teachers organizations, through the publishers of textbooks, to indoctrinate students," Cohen reports.
He adds that when parents find that their children are being taught things they know for a fact are not true, it is time for them to raise those concerns with local school authorities.
