Vica Steel teacher dudeWithout notifying their parents, elementary school students were required to watch a “coming out” video about their teacher, Mr. Busenbark, transforming into a woman.

Mark Vincent Busenbark was permitted to share his personal “coming out" video to children that included kindergarteners at Frank Allis Elementary School, located in Madison.

Busenbark, who wants to be called “Vica Steel” now, states in the video he wants students to know “who I am and who I am becoming,” Fox News reported.

Busenbark, who is ironically a science teacher, also tells the students that anyone who disagrees with him --- presumably referring to their parents or fellow teachers--- are motivated by “fear” and “hate.”

He also reads a book “They Call Me Mix” in the video, since he wants to be known by the pronoun “Mx” from now on.

Parents did not respond with fear and hate, Fox News reported, but they were angry: one parent wrote online they advised their child that what Busenbark's claims in the video are “flat-out wrong.”

“We will be kind to others,” the parent wrote, “but we WILL NOT be involved in adult games of make-believe.”

Staver

The school did not respond to Fox News for comment but a parent quoted in the story said their complaints to the school were brushed off.

Mat Staver of Liberty Counsel tells OneNewsNow that parents are upset as they learn about the school’s decision teachers are upset over the incident, too.

“But we do know the principal, Sara Cutler, was endorsing this,” Staver says. “She had a personal meeting with this teacher. She knew it was coming."

Staver is quoted in the Fox News story suggesting the school broke its own “wellness” policy, which states that classroom instruction should be “age-appropriate, medically accurate, non-stigmatizing, and inclusive for all students.”

Frank Allis Elementary only accommodated the feelings of the teacher, Staver says, and for that the teacher and principal deserve to be fired.

The school district's website shows that Busenbark's name has been changed in its online directory.
