In yet a further attempt to push the LGBTQ ideology in public schools, California legislators want to require teachers to undergo sensitivity training.
Under the pretense of stopping transgender and homosexual bullying, California lawmakers want to force teachers to learn how to affirm the LGBTQ identities of students.
Greg Burt of California Family Council says that puts teachers in the position of supporting values they might not agree with.
"And that is an issue. It's bullying itself,” he argues. “It's fighting bullying by using bullying. So the state's now the bully."
Burt says parents are becoming more aware of this leftist agenda and more of them are beginning to push back.
He also reports some teachers have had enough, too, such as a first-grade teacher who sat through training but told Burt she would rather get fired than harm young children by bowing to the state’s demands.
As part of the controversial training, the teacher described the pro-LGBT training in the San Diego Unified School District in which teachers were asked if they were raised as children to believe in only two genders.
Teachers who acknowledged a traditional, normal upbringing were told their views are backwards, the teacher told California Family Council.
Teachers were also advised to not inform parents if a child in their classroom tells them they are transgender, even if the teacher begins using the student's "preferred pronoun" in class, the teacher also claimed.
