MAGA hat (Trump)A high school principal in New Hampshire has apologized after ordering a student to remove her MAGA hat and pro-Trump T-shirt during the school's "America Pride Day."

Principal Brian Ernest told freshman Ciretta Mackenzie to take off her hat and cover her T-shirt because she was violating the school dress code, according to Boston 25. She complied but later felt her First Amendment Rights had been violated.

"If [the dress code] said no political gear, I could understand why it was dress coded," she told Boston 25, "but it didn't say that, so I feel like I'm obligated to have my own opinion and other people can have theirs. We don't have to agree – that's fine."

John Whitehead of The Rutherford Institute tells OneNewsNow that Ciretta was right.

"This is extremely dangerous," the attorney begins. "And parents across the country? It's time for an uprising. Get down to that school board meeting and start saying, Hey, let's teach our Constitution and let's start treating the First Amendment like it should be treated - and with reverence."

Whitehead, John (Rutherford Institute)The Rutherford president says if students and parents don't stand up to unconstitutional edicts, school principals are going to continue doing whatever they want.

"If this continues, the country is going to culturally collapse," he contends. "And I would tell most people this: if this continues, it's time for people to homeschool or go into private schools where they're going to teach their kids their rights."

Breitbart reports the principal later issued a memo apologizing for what he did. "… I want to fully acknowledge my error in judgment and sincerely apologize if my actions were misinterpreted and offended anyone," he stated in the memo.

Cirreta's mother says she's not angry because she feels the principal's apology was sincere.
