Pro-immigration student activists at the University of Arizona verbally assaulted United States Border Patrol agents on Tuesday during their on-campus presentation coordinated by the school’s Criminal Justice Association (CJA), calling them the “murder patrol” and an “extension of KKK.”
The event at the home of the Wildcats in Tucson, Arizona, was organized by CJA to give Criminal Justice majors expertise in their field of study from law enforcement agents. Invites for previous presentations were given to other federal agencies in the past, including the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (AFT) and Homeland Securities Investigations (HSI), which is an extension of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Campuses breeding belligerent student worldviews?
The virulent-mouthed pro-open borders students recorded themselves on videos disrupting Border Patrol officers during their presentation to students and kept up their taunts as the agents left the auditorium, chanting “murder patrol” as they followed them down the hall.
“I don’t know who allowed the murder patrol,” the student filming the video said, according to the Daily Wire. “They allow murderers to be on campus where I pay to be here. Murderers! On campus. Murderers! On campus.”
Before being stalked down the hall, the federal officers were rudely interrupted during their presentation by the contentious student behind the camera, who contended they were white supremacists affiliated with the Klu Klux Klan.
“This is supposed to be a safe space for students, but they allow an extension of the KKK into campus – an extension of the KKK into campus,” the student injected while the agents were speaking. “There are students that pay to be here – pay to be here – that need this to be a safe space for them, and we have the KKK and their supporters right here at the U of A.”
No calming down …
To calm the situation, a woman who evidently helped set up the event told the student that she was invited to observe the presentation.
“You’re welcome to sit in,” she informed the combative student recording the event, according to the Daily Wire.
However, this did not calm the students down, who continued to hurl insults at the agents.
“Great, I can sit in the entire time,” the student continued. “I’ll just be saying that they’re murderers the entire [expletive] time because it’s the truth. They’re murderers, and you as a club should be more conscious of the rest of the students on this campus. [I don’t] feel safe with them here.”
Having had enough of the student activist’s pro-immigration tirade, a student who helped coordinate the speaking engagement was addressed in the video when she appeared to be reaching for the phone to notify authorities about the continued disruption. After deducing that she was notifying the police, the student recording the video turned herinsults toward her.
“Of course, white women calling the police … white women calling the police,” the recording student repeated.
A number of Twitter posts made the student’s virulent pro-immigration verbal assault made known to the world.
“WATCH: Far-left protesters at the University of Arizona protest Border Patrol agents on campus by likening them to the KKK and calling them the Murder Patrol repeatedly,” Lone Conservative tweeted Wednesday.
After the hostile student trailed the officers down the hall, the one recording to incident continued to stalk and harass them – all the way to their car in the parking lot.
“As the agents began to leave, they are followed all the way to their vehicle by a group of students chanting ‘murder patrol,’” the Daily Wire reported. “They follow them on their way out of the school, continuing to yell, ‘Murder Patrol.’ Additionally, they meet up with a large group of far-left protesters chanting the rhyme, ‘Police and ICE same [expletive] twice.’"
The student recording her own antics included a brief caption with the video that she posted on social media.
“These are the wypipo who called the cops on me,” the recording student with the Twitter name “dinesseisdead” tweeted Wednesday.
The conservative student group, College Republicans, said the student’s anti-border control display was nothing short of “appalling.”
“As fellow Americans, we fully support the First Amendment right given to all U.S. citizens, but there comes a point where it's harassment – rather than an open dialogue with opposing views,” the College Republicans’ Cassandra Bauserman and Matthew Minor indicated in a statement, according to TheBlaze. “The incident towards the two border patrol agents was disrespectful and disruptive to an educational meeting about Border Patrol.”
Stressing that the U. of A. is a mere 70 miles from the U.S.-Mexico border, Bauserman and Minor noted how crucial it is for students to be knowledgeable about the current border crisis.
“[B]eing educated about what our border security entails is important for people interested in the topic,” the conservative students added in their statement. “As College Republicans, being able to have an open dialogue is extremely important to us between people of different views as we want to talk about difficult issues – especially as the 2020 election is approaching, however, the behavior reflected in the video is something we discourage, as we are all residents of the United States.”
