A conservative activist says schools in Australia that are encouraging young children to "explore" their gender identify are really stripping them of their God-given nature.
The Christian Post reports at least 10 schools are introducing a curriculum that encourages students to dress up in opposite-sex clothes and play with opposite-sex toys.
The new program known as "Respect Relationships" is set to be introduced in Western Australia to "implement cultural changes in attitudes toward family and domestic violence," a proponent of the program told Australian media.
Linda Harvey of Mission America says such "gender exploration" programs are a tool of far-left radicals.
"And it's to break down kids'—children's—natural barriers and boundaries, that are given by God for protection," she says, "by making this all seem like a joke."
Yet another tool is denial: a spokesman for the Dept. of Education refused to describe the program's plans to the media because the curriculum is "still being developed."
The Christian Post story said the country's prime minister, a father, is opposed to the curriculum because other people's values are being imposed on his own children without his permission.
Whether parents live in the Outback or the U.S., Harvey says remaining quiet is no longer an option.
"If we want kids to continue to be indoctrinated, we need to say nothing," she tells OneNewsNow. "If we think this is a problem, we need to speak up and speak up now."
