classroom scene 2It's more than a rumor or conspiracy theory: America's public schools are embracing Soviet-style propaganda techniques to manipulate and program students nationwide.

Speaking at the Family Research Council this week, Stella Morabito – an expert in Soviet-style propaganda techniques – said a group called the Collaborative for Academic, Social and Emotional Learning wants to squash thought and demand allegiance to political correctness. Social emotional learning – or SEL – permeates public education policy, she argues, invades privacy, and undermines the influence of family and faith in a child's life.

FRC's Peter Sprigg was in the audience to hear Morabito.

"She incorporates this very in-depth knowledge of the scholarly literature on the techniques of propaganda and shows how they apply to what's actually happening in our schools today," says FRC's senior fellow for policy studies.

According to Morabito, says Sprigg, this manipulation and control of students and the establishment of "collectivist" thinking begins with undermining the family and godly values.

"I think it's a mistake to allow the schools to take the place of the family," he tells OneNewsNow. "[And it's also] a mistake to think that the schools could possibly succeed in taking the place of the family in instilling those kinds of values."

Sprigg says it's up to parents to teach their children to resist such propaganda.
