A university professor in a teacher preparation course is requiring students to make a "commitment to social justice" if they want to earn their teaching certificates.
Professor Revital Zilonka with the University of North Carolina-Greensboro's education department expects students preparing to become teachers to write a short report explaining their commitment to social justice. Brad Dacus of the Pacific Justice Institute warns that the professor’s goal is liberal indoctrination.
“This university instructor is not only engaging in outright liberal ideology indoctrination, but also is effectively purging from being able to teach any students who do not agree with this ideology,” he says. “This is very dangerous.”
Dacus says this is a blatant attempt to indoctrinate elementary and secondary public school students as well.
“These teachers are going to further the agenda of making public education, all the way down to kindergarten, an opportunity for liberal indoctrination,” he tells OneNewsNow. “Those who value a true Christian worldview for their children should be very, very alarmed.”
Reportedly, Zilonka also has a required reading list that blatantly highlights leftist ideologies, although the recommended materials are often irrelevant to the study of education.
