surgical instruments 1California, already infamous for lurching leftward, is now demanding that taxpayers fund sex-change operations.

At stake is a bill that would establish a public fund that can be used to pay for cross-sex hormones, puberty blockers, and sex-change mutilation surgery for adults and minors.

Greg Burt with California Family Council says the proposal is demanding that taxpayers fund treatments “that will sterilize, permanently, young people and destroy reproductive systems forever.”

Parental consents must be obtained before hormone or surgery treatment on minors, at least for now, but California’s liberal politicians are known for pushing far-left policies, such as controversial sex-ed lessons, on children.

“We do know that activists are trying to advocate that children have rights to hormones just like they do to birth control here in the state of California,” Burt advises. “And, actually, the California Teachers Association is arguing that.”

The bill, AB 2218, passed in the Assembly and has been handed to the California Senate, where a health committee hearing will be held next month before sending it to the floor for a vote.

Burt says California residents need to wake up to what is happening and contact their state senator expressing opposition to the bill.
