A cultural issues writer contends that leftists have to lie in order to advance their agenda of sexually integrated school locker rooms.
Laurie Higgins says in an endless effort to force public schools to allow transgenders unrestricted access to locker rooms of the opposite biological sex, the leftist argument comparing restricting locker room usage to racism is an utter lie.
"If it's equivalent to racism, then no school, no college, no organization would ever provide, for example, separate restrooms or locker rooms for boys and girls," she argues.
Higgins writes about this issue in an online article for the Illinois Family Institute. She says because of such regressive, irreligious philosophies infiltrating education, Christians cannot have their children attending public schools.
"You can't have your five- and six-year-old being in a place where adults are positively portraying cross-sex identification and homosexuality," she urges. "You can't undo what they encounter 186 days of the school year from age five on."
Higgins says the ultimate goal of trans ideology is "to eradicate all public recognition of sex differences everywhere for everyone."
In her column, she also states it is "intellectually vacuous" to equate restricting locker room usage based on biological sex to such things as separate drinking fountains, lunch counters, or bus seating for blacks and whites.
"[That] constitutes the kind of sophistry that smart people with bad ideas use to confuse and deceive others," she writes.
