One conservative Christian leader is warning that a “Marxist Uniparty campaign” waged by the Democratic Party and other liberal activists to “destroy” President Donald Trump is also posing an “existential Satanic threat” to wipe out America and all it stands for.
Defend the Family International Founder and President Scott Lively maintains that Trump – with all his flaws – is under siege not because of who he is, but because of the Christian values he champions from the Oval Office.
“For His own reasons reminiscent of His picks for the Old Testament judges, God chose this flawed but fearless bare-knuckle fighter, Donald J. Trump, to rescue America from the Clinton/Obama/Bush/Soros/Deep State takedown in 2016 and to grant its people a short reprieve: a limited window of opportunity to rally behind the Constitution and Christianity as they were understood by our Founding Fathers,” Dr. Lively asserted in his WND column.
Trump buying U.S. time …
Despite the headlines that promoted former first lady Hillary Clinton as America’s first female president to liberate the United States following the country’s first African American president – making those not supporting the two out to be sexist or racist – Trump was able to beat all odd and polls and defend the founding biblical principles that still form the nation’s deteriorating backbone.
“Most clear-thinking Americans recognized in 2016 how close we came to national collapse at the hands of the Clinton Crime Family, but two and a half years of relentless carpet-bombing of the Trump administration by the treasonous mass media and continuous, profoundly devious multi-faceted and multi-layered regime-change tactics by the Deep State and the elites of both parties (the Mueller campaign is only one part of it) appears to have weakened the resolve of some segments of the Trump base,’” Lively argued.
The attorney, pastor and human-rights consultant who has defended biblical marriage and family values in dozens of countries contends that Democrats and the media have been successful in getting many who once supported Trump to focus more on the person – and alleged scandals – rather than on the principles he champions.
“So far, the softening of support appears limited to those most susceptible to small-picture politics grounded in their own pet issues, but if ever there were a time to keep a firm hold on the big picture, this is it,” Lively continued. “Never in the history of this nation has anything come close to the legal, political and psychological blitzkrieg being waged against Trump.”
Leftist activists waging war on Trump and Christianity
At no time since America’s founding has one president faced to much opposition – from every side.
“It is the sum of the attacks on Robert Bork plus Clarence Thomas plus Roy Moore plus Brett Kavanagh times 100, [a]nd, importantly, it is the same axis of evil driving it: Atheists, pro-aborts, LGBT radicals, totalitarian socialists and predatory corporatists,” the evangelical leader pointed out. “It is the same coalition of hard lefties who have systematically and successfully waged culture war – across the entire spectrum of social and fiscal conservatism – against Christians and constitutional originalists – since the early 20th century. They have taken us to the very brink of collapse.”
Among the president’s socialist attackers that Lively was alluding to is Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez – who is one of the largest advocates of impeaching him – and she recently expanded her war on the president and capitalism to include conservative Christians.
“Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's (D-N.Y.) made her disdain for conservative Christians clear this week with multiple attacks she made on social media about people of faith,” the Daily Wire reported. “Ocasio-Cortez's attacks were sparked by Alabama outlawing nearly all abortion in the state this week.”
True to form, the freshman congresswoman waged her war with baseless allegations against her opposition.
“Abortion bans aren’t just about controlling women’s bodies – they’re about controlling women’s sexuality," Ocasio-Cortez tweeted on Wednesday. "Owning women – from limiting birth control to banning comprehensive sex ed – U.S. religious fundamentalists are working hard to outlaw sex that falls outside their theology."
Upping her attacks on Christians the next day, Ocasio-Cortez ended up botching Scripture to unsuccessfully try to prove a point and conjure up support for her ultra-leftist agenda.
"Usury – aka high interest – happens to be explicitly denounced in the Bible (& in many other religions)," AOC insisted in a tweet Thursday. "Looking forward to having the religious right uphold their principles + sign onto my bill – unless of course they’re only invoking religion to punish women + queer people."
South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg – the first openly homosexual presidential candidate – also included Christians in his attack against the Trump administration.
After attacking Vice President Mike Pence’s Christian faith weeks ago, Bittigieg expanded his assault on Christianity by basically calling all evangelical Christians who support Trump hypocrites.
"It’s something that really frustrates me because the hypocrisy is unbelievable," the Democratic mayor said of the president’s evangelical supporters in an interview on NBC’s Meet the Press, according to The Hill. "Here you have somebody who not only acts in a way that is not consistent with anything that I hear in [S]cripture or in church, where it’s about lifting up the least among us and taking care of strangers, which is another word for immigrants, and making sure that you’re focusing your effort on the poor."
His rant against Christians quickly expanded onto the president.
"But also, personally, how you’re supposed to conduct yourself … Trump [is at odds with a religion that calls for] humbling yourself before others," Buttigieg added. "Even on the version of Christianity that you hear from the religious right – which is about sexual ethics – I can’t believe that somebody who was caught writing hush money checks to adult-film actresses [Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal] is somebody they should be lifting up as the kind of person you want to be leading this nation."
Addressing the hate
Lively indicated he has a good idea why so much hate from the left is targeting Trump on the right.
“Why do they hate Trump so zealously? Because America – the real America handed down to us by the founders – is the only thing that stands in the way of these diabolical, God-hating fanatics and their world-conquering agenda, and President Donald Trump is the man chosen – by God and American voters – for this desperate season, to lead real America’s last stand against them,” the Christian legal expert pointed out. “In a very real sense – at this critical moment – America is Trump and Trump is America.”
He said that if the left is successful in its attack, most Americans’ lives as they know it will be blindsided, as well.
“If Trump goes down, America goes down,” Lively contended. “The window of reprieve will have closed, and this once exceptional nation will be cannibalized and assimilated into the new globalist order along with every other country that has followed Trump’s lead.”
It was argued that there are few who can take a punch and keep on ticking like Trump.
“Because if this tireless, thick-skinned, hard-punching, PC-rejecting, Christianity-defending warrior, who can’t be steered or intimidated by the leftist media, who knows all the left’s dirty tricks as only a former insider can know them, and who isn’t restrained by the Marquis of Queensberry rules that only Republicans are ever held to … if he can’t defeat the swamp creatures, then who among the very limited universe of possible alternative leaders could?” Lively posed.
He insisted that Trump did not overcome all odds to become the leader of America by mistake – but rather by divine appointment.
“These are times and circumstances of biblical proportions, and for His own reasons, God has raised up Donald Trump as our warrior-champion,” Lively concluded. “Our duty as patriotic Americans is to keep a crystal-clear focus on the enormity of the stakes we all face in this war against Trump and to do all that we can to prevent our common enemies from taking him down.”
