lawsuit gavel with moneyRevelations of new problems within the Scouts organization may be why a Christian-based organization for boys continues to grow.

The Scouts, previously known as the Boy Scouts, has faced multiple lawsuits from boys who were abused by homosexuals within the Scouts – and the organization is considering what road to take with bankruptcy being just one option. OneNewsNow spoke with Mark Hancock of Trail Life USA, a faith-based organization that focuses on building boys' character and integrity.

"My understanding is that Boy Scouts has done what they can to take care of those abuse cases," he begins, "but when you're as far down the road as they are, I think they've just finally hit a brick wall and they're just no longer able to serve those boys."

The Boy Scouts voted nearly five years ago to allow homosexuals as members and the next year as Scout leaders – then they began admitting girls this year, leaving behind its mission of raising up boys.

Hancock

"Boys are having a rough time right now and you'd think that there would be organizations that would stand up for boys right now," Hancock continues, "and that's what Trial Life USA is doing. We're standing up for boys because we think that they need help and they need to find their strengths and to be recognized for the strengths that they have."

A factor in building that strength, he argues, is that the organization is Christian-based and parents are sending their children there for that reason. "Our membership is surging," he tells OneNewsNow. "We started 90 troops in the last 90 days. We've had a 35-percent increase in new members over the last year who are joining the Trail."

The Scouts, in the meantime, has continued to lose membership.
