Worship the same deity? Don't believe it, says APN

Islam vs. Christianity (symbols)The leader of a network of evangelical pastors is concerned about how Islam is infiltrating the Church – with the cooperation of the church.

Sam Rohrer is president the American Pastors Network, which contends there is indeed an Islamic strategy to collapse the Church in America – and the advancement of the "Interfaith Movement," he says, is one tool to accomplish that end. Rohrer points to programs called "A Common Word" and "Shoulder to Shoulder" as examples.

A Common Word"There are a lot of mainline denominations – and I can name a lot of them – that [believe in the] concept to have evangelical or Christian – quote, unquote – 'churches' and others stand together under the banner of a common faith: 'A Common Word,' they call it in Islam," he emphasizes. "It is amazing how many different denominations and others have actually signed onto that," he adds.

The APN leader says it cannot be overstated that the Church must not be complicit in this concerted effort to undermine and make irrelevant the Christian faith and an unwavering belief and truth in Christ Jesus. Toward that end, he's spearheading an effort to educate Christians about the rise of Islam in America – and that includes answering questions he contends many believers may be fearful or too intimidated to ask.

Rohrer, Sam (PPN)"Americans generally do not know what Islam is really all about," he explains. "It's a political system; it's a way of life that happens to hijack on the back of a faith. They don't know that. And most people – and the church in America, in particular – are asleep relative to how Islam and those who promoting it are finding its way into the Church in America."

The root of the problem, he argues, is the heresy being advanced by Islam that Muslims and Christians worship the same God.

"It's not the same God of the Bible – and it's certainly not Jesus Christ," he counters. "The concept that we worship one God is perhaps where the confusion begins and the deception begins.

"A person who is schooled in Islam will say that the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is their god Allah. Well, the person who understands the Bible would say the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is God – but he's not Allah, he's Jehovah."

Rohrer maintains that Islam is perhaps the greatest threat to America and to Americans' freedoms.
