Over the last several decades, Promise Keepers has ministered to more than seven million men, many of whom have been led to Christ. Now the organization is prepared for its event this weekend at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas – home to the NFL's Dallas Cowboys.

Ken Harrison, chairman of Promise Keepers, says the Men's Conference will inspire the men who attend with the Word of God to, among other things, seek fellowship with other men.

"Men just don't have friends, and that's why of 127 suicides a day in this country, 80% of them are middle-aged men," Harrison submits. "They just don't have real friends that they can really talk to, and so a main part of this whole movement of ours is to get men into relationships and friendships through the church."

The conference will be simulcast in about two dozen nations with workers translating the speeches into each national language.

"The ability to disciple guys and connect all over the world is just phenomenal," Harrison shares. "The idea is not just to have a mountaintop moment -- and hopefully they do, and hopefully it brings them into a better relationship with their wife, their kids, and their Lord -- but a sustainable thing that moves on into a movement and gets men back into the church."

The speaker lineup includes former NFL fullback Jonathan Evans, retired American Lieutenant General Jerry Boykin, and a number of Christian pastors and bestselling authors.
