The leader of a network of pastors says America's relationship with Israel has varied under different presidential administrations, but it’s currently perhaps the strongest it has ever been.
Sam Rohrer, president of the American Pastors Network (APN), says the simple reason America must support Israel is because God does.
"God makes it very, very clear that when He established the nation with Abraham, that those nations that would bless Israel would be blessed of God and those nations who would oppose and curse Israel would be cursed of God. It's that simple," he declares. "If the United States wants to be blessed, they will be walking alongside the nation of Israel."
Rohrer notes that America's relationship with Israel under the Trump administration is totally different than it was under President Obama's leadership. He says President Trump's relationship with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is evidence of that, as is last year's announcement to declare Jerusalem as Israel's capital and the impending relocation of the U.S. Embassy there.
"That statement and that statement alone has changed world policy," Rohrer asserts. "It has turned the heads of those in the United Nations; it has turned the heads of the Islamic enemies of Israel in the Middle East. It is a definitive statement."
"What America does in relationship to the support of Israel is the difference between experiencing God's blessing or God's judgment on our nation," the APN president concludes.
