"I just think there are a lot of misguided, sappy, weak Christians out there," says Dr. Robert Jeffress, "who really don't understand that there's a difference between the role of the church and the role of government."

Jeffress, the senior pastor of First Baptist Church in Dallas, has been in the news recently for his public support of Donald Trump's candidacy for president.

Jeffress, Rev. Robert (FBC Dallas)More recently, Jeffress was reacting to the SBC and its resolution, which he calls a "mealy-mouthed" proposal even after suggesting strict screening.
