pastor at pulpitSyndicated TV and radio host Todd Friel says evangelicals have no one to blame but themselves for the decline of America.

The host of "Wretched Radio" and "Wretched TV," Friel says with 350,000 Protestant churches in America, the national anthem should be the hymn "A Mighty Fortress is Our God."

"And instead we have legalized abortion, legalized gay marriage, and Bruce Jenner is the woman of the year," he tells OneNewsNow.

In his new book, Judge Not, Friel explains why he feels the Christian church is to blame.

"Right now in evangelical Christianity overall, we have fallen into the squishy, ooey-gooey God just loves us so much that He adores us, and He just wants to get us stuff, and He wants to do things for us – and you don't really need to worry about holiness because He just loves us anyway."

Friel

And that, says Friel, is "the result of not having a full, holistic theology about God – and my fear is that most evangelical churches have fallen into a ditch."

In his book, the author exposes evangelical trends like:

  • Youth pastors who force their students to drink a can of soda through another student's dirty sock – or put peanut butter in their armpits for other students to lick out.
  • Pastors who instruct their married couples to have sex every day for 30 days.
  • Churches that applaud when their pastor zip-lines into the sanctuary dressed as Spider Man.

Friel says if Christians don't like the decline that they're seeing in America, they can do something about it by working hard to make sure their local churches are biblical.
