pink for girls, blue for boysA well-known toy company is drawing criticism for its new gender-inclusive doll line.

The new Creatable World doll line is now available online through Wal-Mart, Target, and Amazon. Monica Cole, director of OneMillionMoms.com, says this move by Mattel is irresponsible and dangerous to the wellbeing of children.

"One Million Moms feels like kids just need to be kids," says Cole. "God made boys to be boys and girls to be girls, and Mattel is glorifying and glamorizing these gender-inclusive dolls."

Cole's organization believes Mattel is following a trend to desensitize Americans, and now children are being targeted.

"Mattel has already made a statement on their press release on their website that they feel like gender is a label, and they're trying to get away from that," Cole relays. "That's just shocking as a parent and as a Christian. We want children to be proud of how God made them."

She points out that Mattel is aiming to please a small percentage of customers while pushing away a majority of their conservative customers. So the moms' group is urging the company to discontinue this doll line.

"This has to be the most ridiculous toy One Million Moms has seen in quite a while," Cole concludes.
