A campaign is under way to get out the pro-life youth vote.
Students for Life President Kristan Hawkins tells OneNewsNow people often discount young people when it comes to elections.
"But the study we did this summer showed that young people are planning to vote this election," she notes. "They're paying attention to these issues, and they're split on the issue of abortion. But when they're told about the horrific practice of infanticide, we were actually able to change a lot of their minds on how they were planning to vote."
So, Students for Life has launched its I Vote Pro-Life First initiative to educate 300,000 voters or more.
"We're going to college campuses, registering students to vote, asking them to sign a pledge to always consider abortion first and foremost when deciding who to vote for," Hawkins explains. "And then we're going to be activating them in October to get out the pro-life vote this November."
Though Students for Life will be focusing on nine major universities in four swing states, there will be major efforts in each state of the union, so any college campus can be part of the effort.
