A bestselling author and conservative political commentator says the 2012 Obama reelection campaign is trying to guilt white America to once again vote for an "utterly incompetent president."
In her new book, Mugged: Racial Demagoguery from the Seventies to Obama, Ann Coulter reveals the left's history of playing the race card to keep its hold on the black community.
"It was, of course, always liberal Democrats who were the ones discriminating and enforcing Jim Crow laws and standing in the school house door," she states. "Liberals have simply rewritten history, but it was Democrats, and mostly liberal Democrats, opposing all the civil rights laws. Republicans have an excellent history on civil rights, and Republicans should know their history."
Coulter says the left is doing everything it can to protect Barack Obama and "to guilt white America to once again vote for an utterly incompetent president who is wrecking the country. But we have to do it to prove we're not racist," she poses. "So, the point of my book is to say white guilt has never accomplished anything good. It has always led to disaster."
The author recalls that the country was told in 2008 that the only way for the nation to move past race was to elect Barack Obama as president, and 53 percent of the voters fell for it. So, she expects the 2012 Obama campaign to inspire the greatest racial guilt mongering of all time.
