President ignores source of Muslim rage

Chad Groening   (OneNewsNow.com) Tuesday, September 25, 2012

Conservative activist and former presidential candidate Gary Bauer wasn't impressed with President Obama's address to the United Nations General Assembly earlier today.

During his speech, the president challenged the international community to confront the root causes of turmoil in the Middle East, saying the world faces "a choice between the forces that would drive us apart and the hopes we hold in common."

Obama said world leaders must join to confront the root causes of rage in the Muslim world. "I do believe that it is the obligation of all leaders in all countries to speak out forcibly against violence and extremism," he stated.

Bauer, Gary (American Values)Gary Bauer of American Values says the president failed to mention the source of that rage.

"The fact is that millions of Muslims around the world are receiving in their mosques religious teachings that keep them at a fever pitch ready to violently react to any perceived or imagined slight," Bauer tells OneNewsNow.

Obama also said the United States will not shrink from its role with nations under transition despite the killing of four Americans in Libya. But Bauer says under Obama's leadership, the United States is in full retreat throughout the Middle East.

"We have repeatedly been tougher on our ally Israel than we have our enemies like Iran," he laments.

Bauer says until the president calls out the radicalism that is spreading throughout the Islamic world, more bad days lie ahead.
