A terrorism expert and author says the Council on American-Islamic Relations and a number of other alleged "moderate" Islamic groups are part of what he calls "The Muslim Mafia," which he believes is far more dangerous to America than the Sicilian-based crime organization.
Paul Sperry is the co-author of Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld That's Conspiring to Islamize America. Sperry's co-author Paul David Gaubatz and his son Chris Gaubatz were able to infiltrate the national headquarters of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), obtaining more than 12,000 pages of secret documents detailing the groups ties to the "Muslim Brotherhood" and its long-term plan to "Islamize" America. Sperry says the Muslim Brotherhood is a huge organization. "There's over 100 front groups," he states. "The Muslim Brothers are simply terrorists in suits. They share the same goals as [Osama] bin Laden, and the only difference between these guys and al-Qaeda is [instead of AK-47s] they carry briefcases full of cash to bankroll terrorists...." Sperry says the Muslim Brotherhood has been dubbed "The Muslim Mafia" because of its highly organized structure, centralized control, and covert operations. "They operate like the Mob, only [they're] more dangerous," says the author. "And this is the oath that they take: 'Allah is our goal...the prophet is our guide...the Koran is our constitution...jihad is our way...and death for the glory of Allah is our greatest ambition.'" Sperry says the Muslim Brotherhood's ultimate goal is to replace the U.S. Constitution with sharia law.
